As we approach the scorching summer season, the urge to gulp down copious amounts of soda or your favourite juice concentrate tends to be a mission to resist. While we can’t argue that these convenient thirst quenchers work wonders, the bone of contention that tends to be too great to overlook is the amount of sugar that tends to be staple in them. 

We figured we will take it back to basics with a very simple lemonade recipe that given a try we daresay will be your saving grace.  


  1. 1 cup of Freshly squeezed lemon juice
  2. ¾ cup of Cup of Jewels Monk fruit sweetener
  3. 6 cups of Water


  1. Simmer ¾ cup of Monk fruit sweetener and 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Stir until the sweetener granules are dissolved and cool then the syrup to room temperature.
  2. Add the syrup, the lemon juice and 6 cups of water. Stir and cool down in the refrigerator.



Note: Cup of jewels Monk fruit Sweetener is a natural zero calorie, sweetener formulated from monk fruit extract. It replaces sugar at the ratio of 1:1, meaning it is exactly similar to sugar in sweetness.
